cinoton takes you to understand the spectrum of sunlight

Knowledge about the spectrum of sunlight: sunlight is a mixture of continuously changing light of different wavelengths, including light of various wavelengths: infrared, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, ultraviolet, etc. Red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, and purple are visible lights, which are visible to the human eye. Although the wavelength range of the solar energy spectrum is very wide, from a few meters to tens of meters, the size of the radiation energy is distributed unevenly according to the wavelength. Among them, the area with the largest radiant energy is in the visible part, accounting for about 48%, the radiant energy in the ultraviolet spectral region accounts for about 8%, and the radiant energy in the infrared spectral region accounts for about 44%. The solar cell can only absorb the energy of the visible light. Converted into electric energy, energy conversion is not possible in the ultraviolet spectral region, and the infrared spectral region can only be converted into heat.

The ultraviolet light located outside the purple light has a wavelength of 190-400nm. Sunlight has obvious biological effects, plants can synthesize under the action of sunlight, animal skin undergoes conversion of vitamin D under the action of sunlight; infrared rays have a huge thermal effect, and ultraviolet rays have obvious sterilization effects.
